He began playing the saxophone at the age of eleven. He lives in Berlin since 1994 where he studied at the Hanns Eisler Conservatory and became part of a group of musicians playing contemporary jazz and improvised music. He got a grant to work in Paris in 2001 and since then he shuttles between the two cities.
Daniel has played in clubs and at festivals in the USA, Canada, Asia and all over Europe. He has worked with Aki Takase,Ed Schuller,Conny Bauer,John Schröder,Herb Robertson,John Betsch,Axel Dörner,Pierre Dörge,Gebhard Ullmann,Chris Dahlgren,Rudi Mahall, Edward Perraud, Joe Williamson, Francois Théberge, Tony Buck, Mircea Tiberian, Thierry Madiot, Frank Möbus, Nicholas Simion, Hasse Poulsen and many more.
