Studied visual arts at Central Saint Martins where he became interested in process based work, which led naturally to an exploration of improvised and creative music.
Whilst in London he played with several groups and made many long term collaborations including projects with, amongst others, Mark Wastell, Rhodri Davies, Angharad Davies. In 2000 he moved to Barcelona, Spain where he joined the organisation IBA (Improvisadores de Barcelona Asociacion). During this time he made several recordings including a solo project - 'Mute Correspondence' - and a record with the group I Treni Inerti - 'Ura' (Creative Sources). He also started a long term collaboration with the dance company 'La Sospechosa' (Constanza Brncic, Oriol Blanch and Carme Torrent).
On returning to London he curated several performance events involving music, dance and often visual media. This series is known as 'Field' as is the CDR label he started in 2003.
Playing trumpet and field recordings and electronics, other published work includes 'Open' with Mark Wastell and Phil Durrant (Erstwhile); and as one half of the electro-acoustic duo 'Ladder' (with Ben Lancaster) which has a release on Field called 'Seen'.
Davis is also training as a music therapist.
