Rodolphe Loubatière studies drums and percussions during eight years and ends his scholarship in Paris.

He then joins the Grolektif in Lyon, a musicians association where his passion was born for improvisation.
After a brief stay in the USA where he studies from workshops given by Jim Black, Tim Berne, Drew Gress and , he returns to Europe where he works with L'Etranger Théâtre on a poem written by Fernando Pessoa which includes musicians, actors, dancers, sound and light creators.
In Geneva, he continues the exploration of improvisation, solo and with these various groups, which allow multiple meetings.He has played with Franck Vigroux (CD Live - D'autres cordes records), Urs Leimgruber, Jean-François Pauvros, Jacques Demièrre, Burkhard Beins, Andrea Parkins, Michel Massot, Laurent Bondiau, Guillaume Orti.
Rodolphe Loubatière is particulary afectionate of improvised music , of the world , possibilities and the numerous exchanges it permits.
