Ben Bennett

Ben Bennett is a Philadelphia-based percussionist and improviser whose work extends percussion through drumheads, stretched membranes, idiophones, objects and other unconventional sound-producing materials. His playing draws on free improvisation, free jazz and extended technique, often reducing the drum set to portable components that can be continuously rearranged.

Bennett remains highly active as a soloist and collaborator. His 2026 work includes new solo releases and an extensive European performance schedule, alongside projects with musicians including Jack Wright, Jonas Engel and Asger Thomsen.
