Was born in 1981 in Villach/Carinthia/Austria. At the moment he lives in Vienna.

In 2007 he finished his studies of doublebass and bassguitar with Albert Kreuzer und Willi Langer at the university of music and performing arts vienna and obtained his bachlor degree (with special focuses on improvisation and contempory music with Manon Liu Winter, Gunter Schneider and Franz Hautzinger, and on classical doublebass with Werner Fleischmann). He had also lessons with the german bassist Achim Tang and Uli Fussenegger (Klangforum Wien).

Bernd Klug had scholarships at the Darmstädter Ferienkursen für Neue Musik 2005 and the Impuls Ensembleakademie 2005 in Graz.

among others he worked/s with: ctrl, Vienna Bolling Project, Andrew Young, Michael Horowitz, Herbert Pirker, Philipp Tröstl, Bernhard Lang, Martin Gut, Jeff Frohner, Florian Fennes, dunkelbunt, Tim Sharp, Musicals like Sound of Christmas, Vienna C@lling and Ernest in love, TV-Shows e.g. with Patrick Lindner and Tony Christie, Junge Philharmonie Wien and Jugend Sinfonieorchester Niederösterreich and played at international festivals like: Wien Modern, V:NM-Graz, Hoerweite 07, Bayern4-Klassixmix, Kino Kabarett 07 and Bratislavska Komorná Gitara.
