Eduardo Raon
Eduardo Raon is a Portuguese harpist, composer, sound designer and improviser whose practice crosses classical music, contemporary composition and experimental performance. He studied harp at the Lisbon Conservatory with Clotilde Rosa, whose influence encouraged his interest in unconventional playing and musical exploration.
He later studied contemporary improvisation in Cologne with Paulo Álvares and worked in numerous interdisciplinary settings. On Powertrio (CS147), he plays harp and electronics alongside guitarist Luís Martins and pianist Joana Sá. The trio's music explores the relationship between written ideas, acoustic detail and spontaneous musical exchange, often expanding the expected role of the harp.
