Eve Risser

Eve Risser is a French pianist, composer and improviser known for transforming the piano into a rich source of percussive, resonant and prepared sounds. Her music moves between free improvisation, contemporary composition and ensemble projects combining acoustic instruments with unconventional arrangements.

She founded the White Desert Orchestra and leads the Red Desert Orchestra, bringing together European and African musicians. She has performed with the Orchestre National de Jazz and collaborated with many experimental artists, including John Butcher and the duo Donkey Monkey. Her Creative Sources recordings document a practice where acoustic detail, rhythm and spontaneous musical form remain closely connected.
