Georges-Emmanuel Schneider
Georges-Emmanuel Schneider is a French-Swiss violinist and sound artist whose work moves between classical performance, contemporary music, free improvisation, jazz and electronics. He studied violin for eight years with Ruggiero Ricci at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg before developing an international performing career.
Alongside chamber and solo music, he creates projects that blend acoustic violin with electronic processing and other contemporary musical languages. In 2018 he completed Max/MSP training at IRCAM in Paris, broadening his work with digital instruments and sound design. Creative Sources documents his contribution to exploratory music where the violin can shift between traditional articulation and unconventional acoustic and electronic textures.
