Han-earl Park

Han-earl Park is a guitarist, improviser and composer whose work investigates the social and musical possibilities of collective performance. His distinctive electric-guitar vocabulary moves between noisy articulation, fragmented rhythm and rapidly changing interactions with other performers.

He has collaborated with Evan Parker, Wadada Leo Smith, Richard Barrett, Catherine Sikora and Nick Didkovsky. His projects include Eris 136199, Gonggong 225088 and the improvisational playbook Metis 9; he also established Stet Lab in Cork. Creative Sources documents his playing as part of the international improvising community, where experimentation and attentive exchange remain central to his practice.
