Jan Malkowski

Jan Malkowski is a saxophonist whose work is represented by two Creative Sources releases, CS545 and CS824. These recordings document saxophone performance within contemporary experimental and improvised music, an area in which the instrument may serve as both a melodic voice and a source of noise, breath and resonance.

Across the label's catalogue, small-group improvisation and collective attention to sound are central concerns. Malkowski's appearances are part of that documented network of projects. Specific information concerning his musical education, location and other professional activity is not sufficiently established by reliable public sources, so this note avoids attributing undocumented collaborations.
