Jordina Milla

Jordina Millà is a Catalan pianist, composer and improviser whose work explores the acoustic possibilities of the piano, including extended techniques and the instrument's interior. Her artistic language moves between free improvisation, contemporary music and spontaneously developed structures.

Her recordings include the solo album Males herbes, the two-piano project When Forests Dream with Agustí Fernández, and duos with bassist Barry Guy, including Live in Munich on ECM Records. She is also associated with Barry Guy's Blue Shroud Band and founded PRISMA, an initiative supporting improvisation in Salzburg. Creative Sources documents her piano playing on The Dew That Flies (CS871).
