Norway · saxophone, composition & improvisation

Kim-Erik Pedersen is a Norwegian alto saxophonist and composer born in Hamar in 1987. His work encompasses jazz, free improvisation and ensemble composition, and he has performed in formations including Off Topic, the Jon Eberson/Kim-Erik Pedersen Quartet and Bleak House.

His Creative Sources recording Dark Poetry with Bleak House features pianist Dag-Filip Roaldsnes and drummer Tore T. Sandbakken. The trio builds music through spontaneous interaction, with an interest in literary imagery and extended instrumental dialogue.
