Ledian Mola

Ledian Mola is a bassist and violinist associated with the Basque Country's improvising scene and the large experimental group Limbo Ensemble. His practice includes both string instruments, moving between lower-register resonance and the contrasting articulations of bowed and plucked strings.

He appears on Limbo (CS604), recorded in 2018 and issued by Creative Sources. The ensemble was assembled by drummer and composer Nasim López-Palacios and brings together thirteen performers playing winds, brass, harp, guitar, piano, electronics and percussion. The recording documents a collective approach in which instrumental identities continually interact and give shape to an extended composition.
