Ligia Liberatori

Ligia Liberatori is a vocalist, improviser, performer and composer whose artistic practice explores the extended possibilities of the human voice and the relationship between music and movement. Her techniques include multiphonics, circular singing, vocal harmonics, glottal sounds and unconventional resonances.

She trained in Buenos Aires and Cologne, combining singing and music pedagogy with improvisation, new music theatre and physical performance. Her work often incorporates gesture, humour and theatrical situations. On Radical Flowers (CS718), she performs with Ernesto Rodrigues, Guilherme Rodrigues and Davide Piersanti, bringing an expansive vocal language into an intimate electroacoustic quartet.
