Luiz Rocha

Luiz Rocha is a clarinetist and improviser represented in Creative Sources' recordings of contemporary experimental music. His instrument provides a versatile palette of breath, resonance, short articulations and melodic gestures that can operate independently inside an improvising ensemble.

Clarinet sound may develop through quiet changes of colour as well as more forceful registers, encouraging close musical dialogue with strings, percussion and electronics. Rocha's participation is documented in the label's catalogue of collective recordings. Further independent information concerning his wider career and artistic education is not sufficiently established to support a more detailed account.
