Matthias Muche lives and works in Cologne.
Studied Music and Art at the “Hochschule der Künste Amsterdam”, at the “Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln” and at the” Hochschule für Musik Köln” with Prof Anthony Moore, Prof. Bart van Lier, Prof. Henning Berg and Prof. Paulo Alvares.
Muche works with many different Artists like Misha Mengelberg, Frank Gratkowski, Nils Klein, Larry Ochs, Robyn Schulkowsky and the Soundartist Andres Boßard from Switzerland.
His work with dancers and multimedia artists, as well as with jazz, modern-music, and multicultural music groups at the North Sea Jazzfestival Den Haag, Moers Festival, Jazzdor Festival Strasbourg, GetItLouder Festival Shanghai/Beijing and the Cairo International Festival For Experimental Theatre - is representative of the great variety and flexibility of his artistic work.
In his Media Art projects he experiments with symbiotic, intertwined auditory and visual compositional processes, and concepts presentation formats which motivate, intensify and feedback one another. The newest works where shown in Bern, Paris and at the ART COLOGNE.
Matthias Muche is together with Sven Hahne the founder and artist director of the interdisciplinary Festival FRISCHZELLE.
