Maria da Rocha

Maria da Rocha is a Portuguese violinist and improviser whose background in classical music and teaching developed alongside work in contemporary and freely improvised music.

Her Creative Sources activity includes collaborations with Ernesto Rodrigues and other Lisbon improvisers; the 2022 session Hoya brought her together with Rodrigues, Daniel Levin and João Madeira in a string-focused improvised setting.
