Mario Martínez

Mario Martínez is a bass clarinetist documented in the Limbo Ensemble project, an experimental large group directed by drummer and composer Nasim López-Palacios. His contribution places the low-register reed instrument within a varied acoustic and electronic ensemble.

The Creative Sources release Limbo (CS604) combines bass clarinet with multiple saxophones, trumpet, flute, harp, piano, electric guitar, electronic instruments and double bass. Recorded in 2018, the work is structured as an extended collective performance. The bass clarinet adds a broad range of register, breath and colour to the group.
