Mike McCormick

Mike McCormick is an electric guitarist whose musical activity is documented in Brinicle, an improvising trio combining guitar, bass and drums. The group's music explores the relationship between electric resonance and acoustic rhythmic interaction.

On First Frost (CS528), McCormick plays alongside bassist Håkon Norby Bjørgo and drummer Michaela Antalová. Recorded in Copenhagen in March 2017, the Creative Sources album unfolds across three extended performances, with titles referring to changing winter conditions. The format gives guitar space for both sustained sonorities and more active responses to the other instruments. Publicly verified information about McCormick's wider biography is presently limited.
