Nico Martín

Nico Martín is a Spanish guitarist active in experimental and improvised music. His work includes participation in Limbo Ensemble and the group Million-Dollar Haircuts on Ten-Cent Heads, connecting amplified guitar sound with collectively developed musical structures.

On the Creative Sources release Limbo (CS604), he performs electric guitar as part of a thirteen-member ensemble assembled around drummer and composer Nasim López-Palacios. The group brings together reeds, brass, flute, harp, piano, electronics and double bass, combining distinct instrumental colours within a long-form piece. The recording documents Martín's contribution to a project that brings composition and free improvisation into close contact.
