Patrizia Oliva
Patrizia Oliva is an Italian vocalist, composer and improviser working across experimental voice, electronics, electroacoustic music, free jazz and performance art. Her practice expands the voice through small electronic devices, bamboo flutes, objects and improvised vocal gestures.
She played bass and keyboards in the experimental female group Allun from 1998 and began performing solo under the name Madame P in 2003. Her international collaborations include Evan Parker, Tristan Honsinger, Tomeka Reid and Alessandro Bosetti. Creative Sources documents her voice and electronics on factorial (CS532), part of a wide-ranging recorded practice.
