Richard Scott
Richard Scott is a British-born electroacoustic composer, electronic musician and improviser based in Berlin. Originally active in free jazz and collective improvisation, he developed a distinctive practice using analogue modular synthesisers, combining systems design with responsive performance and experimental composition.
His collaborations include Axel Dörner, Thomas Lehn, Ute Wassermann, Audrey Chen and Evan Parker. He initiated the Sines and Squares festival devoted to modular synthesis and has organised experimental concert series in Berlin. Scott also researches and teaches improvisation and electroacoustic composition. Creative Sources documents his work with synthesis, feedback, texture and rapidly changing electronic relationships.
