Sabah Al Ani

Sabah Al Ani is a French alto saxophonist of Iraqi origin, improviser and composer from Rennes. He also trained as an electronics and telecommunications engineer.

His work explores extended saxophone techniques, timbre, polyphony, harmonic spectra, noise and voice. After studies in classical saxophone, jazz and improvisation, he spent several years active in Warsaw’s experimental scene, including work with the Warsaw Improvisers Orchestra.
