Stine Janvin Motland
Stine Janvin is a Norwegian vocalist, performer and sound artist whose work explores the physicality of the voice and its ambiguous relationship to electronic sound. Her performances combine vocal experimentation, repetition, movement and carefully constructed situations, often questioning distinctions between natural and artificial sound.
Born in Stavanger, she has developed projects for concert halls, galleries, clubs and digital platforms. Her works include Fake Synthetic Music and SOLD (a dog and pony show), and she received an honorary mention at Prix Ars Electronica in 2019. Her Creative Sources recordings document her voice in collaborative experimental settings.
