Thimothée Quost
Thimothée Quost is a French trumpeter and experimental electronic musician whose work combines acoustic brass sound with the unstable feedback possibilities of a no-input mixing board. He performs in improvised groups that explore rhythm, noise, delicate articulations and unconventional sound-making.
His work is documented on Dart Love (CS493), the Creative Sources album by Escargot, alongside clarinetist Xavière Fertin, bassist Louis Freres, percussionist Camille Émaille and snare-drum player Tom Malmendier. The recording brings together free-jazz energy, small acoustic gestures and electronic textures, showing how Quost's trumpet and mixer contribute contrasting sounds to collective musical improvisation.
