Ulrike Brand
Ulrike Brand is a German cellist, performer and composer based in Berlin. She specialised in contemporary music with Siegfried Palm and developed an individual cello language through extended playing techniques.
Her work crosses composition and improvisation and often connects music with language, dance, performance and visual art; she also teaches instrumental improvisation at the Berlin University of the Arts.
