Vincent Millioud
Vincent Millioud is a Swiss violinist whose work crosses classical music, jazz, folk traditions and improvised performance. Born in 1983, he studied at the Conservatory of Neuchâtel and completed a master's degree in improvised music at the Bern University of the Arts in 2011.
He performs internationally in a variety of musical settings, including the Hot Club de Berne, small-group jazz and projects bringing together Western classical music and folk traditions. His playing draws on melodic improvisation, detailed acoustic phrasing and the possibility of moving between styles. Creative Sources documents his violin on sin (CS187), providing an example of his activity in experimental improvisation.
