Weston Olencki

Weston Olencki is an American-born musician and composer from South Carolina, based in Berlin. Their work treats musical instruments as carriers of cultural history and moves between experimental sound, traditional musical practices, electronics and the extended possibilities of low brass instruments.

They perform on trombones, trumpet, euphonium, winds, banjo and electronics, and have presented work at festivals including Donaueschinger Musiktage, Borealis and MaerzMusik. Their solo discography includes Old Time Music and Broadsides/Two Postscripts. Creative Sources released Solo Works (CS639), documenting trumpet, bass trumpet, trombone, euphonium and snare drum.
